Entry Conditions
Entry is open to anyone aged 11 or over.
- 11-year-olds must have turned 11 on or before 31st August 2024, (currently in Year 7, Secondary School)
- 11–15-year-olds can only enter the Short Route and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian
- 16–17-year-olds can enter any route except the ‘Epic’ unless accompanied by a parent or guardian
- 11-17-year-olds must provide a signed parent/guardian consent form confirming you are ok to ride the event.
Where a signed parent/guardian consent form is required, the event team will provide a form once an entry has been received. The signed form must be returned to the event team no later than one week before the event date. No signed consent form will mean you are unable to ride the event, and we are unable to issue a refund.
We will also prevent 11–17-year-olds from starting the event if they are not accompanied by their parent/guardian where their chosen route requires the minor to be accompanied. A refund will not be issued if this happens.
Riders must have a suitable and road worthy road bike to take part in the event.
- Electric Bikes are allowed (Please note our mechanics do not cover the electrical elements of the bike should you have an issue)
- If using an electrical bike, you must be satisfied that you can get round your chosen route with or without the battery
- We DO NOT allow the following bike types: BMX’s, Fat Bikes, Uni Cycle. fold up bikes or bikes with Tri bars.
All riders are required to provide photographic proof of identity at sign on.
Routes may be subject to last minute changes due to unforeseen circumstances. i.e. Road closures.
You can change route up to 1 week before the event, for 2025 the deadline for route changes is 29th June 2025
- You cannot upgrade your change route at registration on event day, however, you can downgrade at registration if you inform us. We are unable to refund the different in entry fees.
- If upgrading to a longer route, you are required to pay the difference. If downgrading to a shorter route we will refund the difference up until 1 month before the event date, after this date you can still down grade, but we are unable to offer a refund on the lower fee.
Electric Bike Guidelines:
Whilst the event does allow electric bikes, we ask that you bike conforms to the following British Cycling requirements for sportive events for safety reasons.
Electric bikes that meet the following requirements can be entered:
- The bike must have pedals that can be used to propel it.
- The electric motor should not be able to propel the bike when it is travelling more than 25kph / 15.5mph the motor should not have a maximum power output of more than 250 watts.
Any form of e-bike that does not comply with the above (e.g. ones with a “twist & go” throttle) are not permitted.
In addition, should the event run any ‘Timed’ segments, e-bikes are excluded from the results.
Unable to Ride the event?
Can I cancel my entry?
We are unable to cancel your place once you have entered. You may however transfer or defer your place.
How do I transfer my entry?
You need to contact us at whiteroseclassic2024@icloud.com up to one week before the event date, providing the details of the person who will take your place. We will then transfer your entry to them.
How do I defer my entry?
You can defer your entry to 2026. You must do this up to one month before the event date. After this date it is at the discretion of the event team, no deferrals can be accepted one week before the event date and your entry cannot be refunded

When submitting my entry, I have read and agreed to abide by the following declarations.
- You agree to abide by the British Cycling Regulations for non-competitive cycling events and understand and agree that I participate in this event entirely at my own risk, that I must rely on my own ability in dealing with all hazards, and that I must ride in a manner which is safe to myself and others.
- You agree to follow the signed route, follow all instructions from event marshals at the start/finish line, at key points on route and at the feed stations. They are there my safety.
- You agree the event is not a race and as the event is run on open roads, you agree to follow the highway code, respect fellow cyclists and road users, and that I must decide whether any manoeuvre is safe.
- Your agree that no liability whatsoever shall attach to the promoter, promoting club/Organisation, event sponsor, British Cycling or any event official in respect of any injury, loss or damage suffered by me in or by reason of the event however caused. I will participate in cycling events in a loyal and sporting manner.
